Following reports Wednesday that Brandy was hospitalized for a possible seizure, the singer has spoken out about the health scare.

"To my beloved fam, friends and starz, thank you for sending love and light my way," she wrote in an Instagram Stories message, later shared by The Neighborhood Talk. "I am following doctors' orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support."

She added, "Grateful for you all, see you soon."

While Brandy didn't confirm if the medical incident was, in fact, a seizure, the note did assure fans and supporters that she is OK and on the road to recovery.

TMZ reported Wednesday afternoon that EMS responded to Brandy's home at 12 p.m on October 11. According to the report, Brandy was taken to a local hospital after possibly suffering a seizure.
