50 Cent emerges from his behind-the-scenes roles for an upcoming movie titled Boneyard. The film follows 50 and Mel Gibson's characters as they attempt to find a serial killer nicknamed The Bone Collector.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 50 plays the chief of the Albuquerque Police Department, while Gibson takes on the role of an FBI agent. Inspired by true events, the indie crime thriller has already begun filming in Las Vegas.

Boneyard, directed by Asif Akbar and produced by Colin Bates and Vincent McDaniel, will also star Brian Van Holt and Nora Zehetner. No release date has been announced.
