Nick Cannon always has people wild’n out no matter what stage he touches, and last night was no no different.
On Thursday night (April 18), the Wild’N Out founder skipped out on his class at Howard University to get Uncensored with the Afternoon Get-Down’s Supa Cindy and DJ Entice. After keeping the crowd waiting long enough, Cannon made his grand entrance and instantly began spilling the tea. Supa kicked off the show by asking Cannon about his plans for daytime T.V.
“The whole idea was to come into FOX and take over late night because they didn’t have a late night show,” Cannon said. “But more people watch shows during the day like that Ellen time slot, and they don’t have that either so after I did the thing with Wendy Williams, the ratings went crazy. Then they were like ‘Yo you might want to switch from doing late night into possibly doing the daytime thing. So that’s where we’re at with it right now.”
Later on, Cannon moves on to talk about his plans to pick up where Nipsey Hussle started on making a documentary about the late Dr. Sebi and his miraculous medical work. After saluting the late rapper, Cannon described how he’ll continue the work Nipsey started before he was shot and killed in front of his clothing store, The Marathon in L.A.
“You gotta continue the marathon! That’s what we’re here to do as a people right?” Nick told the crowd. “We’ve gotta continue everything that Nipsey stood for. They talk about 2Pac. 2Pac was great because he was all about the community but Nipsey was IN the community, being about the community.”
Cannon didn’t just sign on to produce the doc. The Wild’N Out founder also talks about how he got put on to Dr. Sebi’s practices in the first place.
“I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis in 2012 so that’s when I first got introduced to Dr. Sebi’s practices,” Cannon said. “I actually heard about them when Left-Eye was working with him. But for myself, I started implementing those diets so I was already in tuned. Me and Nip would even have conversations about that. So now I feel like continuing the marathon.”
