99 Co-Sign: Blaze Carter Talks About His '33' Album & More

Blaze Carter has made a lasting impression on 99 JAMZ that will be remembered for years to come. The Liberty City rapper pulled up to The People’s Station with a mission to spread across Miami: “Let Us Live.”

Not only is it a powerful mantra, but it's also the name of the song that made him the 99 Co-Sign artist of July. The song was made as a tribute to his late son, King, who passed away at the young age of 6 in 2016. In 2018, "Let Us Live" was featured in Starz' Warriors of Liberty City, which follows Uncle Luke during football season as he coaches the Liberty City Warriors. Carter tells Big Mack and DJ Nasty how he got his song on the show.

“Me and Luke go way back,” Carter explains. “Luke took me to 26 states. I went on a tour with Luke for 26 states. I was making albums and I was traveling and doing a lot of things. Me and Luke come from the city so we know the trials and tribulations of the hood.”

Despite our quest to discover new talent, Carter has been making bangers with the biggest acts Miami has ever seen. As a native of Liberty City, Fla, Santonio Carter a.k.a Blaze Carter has made his voice known in the streets as a hip-hop artist and social activist.  After dropping his debut project Blaze be the Name at the age of 14, Carter went on to work with other major artists from Dade County like Ball Greezy, Sam Sneak, Billy Blue, Desloc Piccalo and more.

Over the years, Carter has served up other popular projects like his 2016 release #5eight, his For The Streets mixtape series and Warrior, which dropped in 2018. In 2019, Carter is preparing to drop his next project 33.
