The L.A. wildfires force The Weeknd and Beyoncé to postpone their planned rollouts

Since erupting last week, the devastating wildfires have claimed the lives of 24 people and destroyed thousands of homes, schools and other buildings. Beyoncé was set to make a major announcement on Tuesday (January 14) however, she has informed fans via Instagram that no such announcement will be coming until the fires have subsided.

The Weeknd also announced that he is delaying the release of his new album “Hurry Up Tomorrow”, which was set to drop on January 24. The Weeknd also cancelled the show that was scheduled on January 25 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Beyoncé and her BeyGOOD foundation have also donated $2.5 million to the Los Angeles Fire Relief Fund. “The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”

We are sending our prayers to everyone that was affected by the wildfires.
