Otis Kemp
Otis Kemp is a singer, songwriter, producer, and community leader known for his distinctive fusion of contemporary gospel music and South Florida hip-hop culture. His debut single, 2021's "The Reason," a powerful testament to his faith, and its 2022 follow-up, "Daily Bread," reached the upper echelons of the Billboard gospel charts. In 2024, he delivered his assured debut album, Meet Me in Miami. A second LP, METAMORPHOTIS, arrived in 2026.
Hailing from Carol City, Kemp's journey began in a challenging environment, as he was expelled from multiple schools during his youth. However, he turned his life around and found his true calling in faith and music. Combining his love for artists like John P. Kee, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Winans, Goodie Mob, and Organized Noize, Kemp began working at Poe Boy Entertainment, a local record label, where he collaborated with notable artists such as Rick Ross and Flo Rida. He released his first single, "The Reason," in 2021 to significant acclaim within the gospel community, and built on that success with subsequent efforts like "Daily Bread" and "Everything," the latter of which appeared on his chart-topping full-length debut, Meet Me in Miami, in 2024. Beyond his music career, Kemp owns and operates three Appleseeds performing arts academies in South Florida, providing opportunities and support for at-risk youth. In January 2026, he returned with his sophomore album, METAMORPHOTIS, featuring appearances by Flo Rida, Minon Bolton, Jason Clayborn, and others. ~ James Christopher Monger
