South Florida residents who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic have several places they can go in case they are in need of food and groceries.

The United Teachers of Dade just launched a "Grab 'n Go Meal Locator platform at freeschoollunch.info where parents and students can quickly find food distribution centers in their part of the county.  Starting next week, the distributions will shift from daily to twice a week. Families will be able to do bulk pickups on Mondays and Thursdays (4-7 p.m.) that will include food for a few days, rather than needing to come back each day. The website will update as the distributions do, and it is available in English, Spanish and Creole. Click here for more information. 

There are also a handful of gracious non-profit organizations and restaurants who have teamed up to bring people hot meals and groceries. Check out the full list below.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY 

Miami

DeliverLean with Alonzo Mourning and the Overtown Youth Center will distribute free meals at Gibson Park every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the foreseeable future. The address is Gibson Park, 401 NW 12th Street, Miami.

Homestead

Farm Share distribute fresh foods to families via a drive-thru process on Thursday from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. at Le Jardin Community Center, 107 S.W. 8th St., Homestead.

Hialeah Gardens

Feeding South Florida Miami-Dade will distribute food at Centro AFE, 868 SE 12 St., Hialeah from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Thursday.

Hialeah Gardens

Feeding South Florida Miami-Dade will distribute food at City of Hialeah Gardens Mater Academy, 7901 NW 103 St., Hialeah Gardens from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Thursday.

BROWARD 

Oakland Park

Co-Owner Manny Teague of Bowl’d Acai and Fruit Smoothie Bowls in Oakland Park is giving free organic oatmeal to any student from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. They are located at 1520 E. Commercial Blvd. in Oakland Park.

Fort Lauderdale

Feeding South Florida Broward will host a food distribution at Pantry of Broward, 610 NW 3rd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, on Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Miramar

Feeding South Florida Broward will host a food distribution at on Thursday, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Parkway.

Pembroke Pines

Feeding South Florida Broward will host a food distribution on Thursday, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Charles F. Dodge City Center, 601 City Center Way, Pembroke Pines.

At 2 p.m., Thursday, the Jesus People Full of Faith Ministries is having a drive-thru food giveaway until all supplies are gone. Location: Jesus People Full of Faith Ministries (inside of Pill Box Plaza), 1810 NW 122nd Terrace, Pembroke Pines.

Hollywood

The Networking for Christ Ministry has partnered with Feeding South Florida to provide free breakfast for children every weekday morning, Monday through Friday, at 6122 Washington St.
